Meet The Band Directors
About The Directors
Jessica Maus is the Head Band Director at Hillwood Middle School and Parkwood Hill Intermediate School, which feeds Keller Central High School. In 2013, Mrs. Maus joined the Band Director staff at Keller Central High School and taught at the high school for four years before becoming the lead-teacher at the middle school feeder. Prior to coming to the Keller Central Feeder Pattern, Ms. Maus taught at North Richland Middle in Birdville ISD for five years.
Ms. Maus received her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in 2008 and a master’s degree in music education from Southern Methodist University in 2015. Growing up in North Richland Hills, she attended Richland High School and was selected three years as a Texas All-State Oboist.
Ms. Maus has a son, Liam Jay.
Ana Galdamez joined the staff as a Director at Hillwood Middle School and Parkwood Hill Intermediate School in 2019. Her responsibilities include directing the HMS Symphonic Band and Jazz Band as well as teaching beginner trombone, euphonium, and tuba classes at PHIS.
Mrs. Galdamez received her Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of North Texas where she studied euphonium with Dr. Brian L. Bowman and David Childs. While attending UNT, Mrs. Galdamez was a marching technician at Keller Central High School and Colleyville Heritage High School and taught low brass private lessons at Watauga Middle School.
In her spare time, Mrs. Galdamez loves spending time with her husband, Juan, dog, Kiko and cat, Ash. They enjoy camping, hiking, and indoor rock climbing.
Aidan Kane is excited to join the band staff at Hillwood Middle School and Parkwood Hill Intermediate School! Mr. Kane received his Bachelor’s in Music Education from Texas Christian University after student teaching at Haltom High School and Haltom Middle School in the Fall of 2023. During his time at TCU, he studied clarinet with Dr. Corey Mackey and Mr. Gary Whitman and performed with the Horned Frog Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony. He also had the opportunity to perform with the TCU Clarinet Ensemble at the TMEA and Midwest clinics. Outside of school, Mr. Kane has taught clarinet lessons and served as a marching technician in Keller ISD, Fort Worth ISD, and Birdville ISD. He has also performed with the Madison Scouts and the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, and is currently on the visual staff at Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mr. Kane grew up in Arlington, Texas. In his free time, he enjoys running, reading, and playing video games.
Matt Stephens has been the Percussion Director at Keller Central High School since 2012. His responsibilities also include teaching percussionists at Hillwood Middle School and Parkwood Hill Intermediate School. Prior to Keller, Mr. Stephens taught the percussionists at Fowler and Scoggins Middle Schools in Frisco, TX.
He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He also marched bass drum with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2009 and 2010. Matt has also performed in many amazing venues from Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, to New York City’s Merkin Hall, as well as Okayama, Japan, and the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Stephens is an educational artist with Innovative Percussion.
Mr. Stephens grew up in McKinney, TX, and graduated from McKinney North High School. He also attended Scott Johnson Middle School where his father, Paul, was his band director. Matt currently lives in Saginaw, TX with his wife, Hannah, and daughter, Clara.

Parkwood Hill
The musical journey begins in the sixth grade at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School. Students have a lot of fun, make new friends, and gain the musical skills necessary to flourish at the next level.
Hillwood
The Hillwood Band is comprised of enthusiastic seventh and eighth grade musicians. Students continue to learn and grow, and establish a culture of musical excellence and leadership.
Keller Central
Students strive toward mastery of their craft in the many performance opportunities that the Keller Central High School Band has to offer. The band has experienced success on both the state and national levels.
